Jean Bonifas, M.A.

As Springboard NW owner and principal guide, Jean draws upon her extensive experience in sales, customer service, education, and workplace communication. She is equally a performance artist and businessperson with a unique ability to foster confidence and empower others to communicate with clarity and compassion.

Jean holds a bachelor of arts degree in children's theatre from the University of Washington and a master's in speech communication from Western Washington University. She has worked in sales, marketing, customer service, and education for 30+ years; successfully building and managing the customer base of two local businesses. She received Lee Enterprises’ prestigious President’s Award for retail advertising.

She brings a lively spirit and sense of wonder to her training. For twelve years, she served as an adjunct faculty member teaching public speaking and interpersonal communication at Linn-Benton Community College (in Corvallis and Albany, Oregon) where she was awarded an Outstanding Part-time Faculty Award.

Springboard NW (formerly Springboard Productions) has hosted and led communication skills workshops for businesses and institutions in Western Washington and Oregon since 2001.

Springboard guest instructor Sherry O’Boyle, EdM., of Sherlo Team Solutions®, is a graduate of Oregon State University’s Adult Education and Higher Education Leadership program and holds a Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Linfield College. She is a Talent Smart® certified trainer of Emotional Intelligence and is a published author.

O’Boyle’s focus of interest is in organizational change management, emotional intelligence training, succession planning, and helping to increase an organization’s bottom line by the creation of a positive work environment leading to less employee attrition and higher productivity.
